The Yemeni people have been witness to one of the testing times in the last few years. The conflict has claimed thousands of lives and displaced ordinary people from their homes, families and livelihoods.
Their health system is near collapse and without the ability or means to care for its people. 14 million people are in desperate need of medical attention and the victims are mainly children.
Yemen has now become the world’s largest food security crisis.
17 Million people are insecure while 7 million people do not know where their next meal will come from. They are on the brink of a famine on a catastrophic scale.
19 Million people do not have access to clean water and sanitation resulting in the potential outbreak of water-borne diseases.
At least one child dies every 10 mins. That’s 144 every single day. 400,000 children are in need of life-saving food to keep them nourished.
If the world does not respond we could see as many as 50,000 children die from malnutrition in just the coming months.
Children of Adam through its partners will be on the ground in the coming weeks providing these vital services to the people of Yemen. We are appealing to you all to please assist these “forgotten people” during this ongoing crisis.
Please do give what you can and show them that there are still people in the world that have not forgotten them.
The Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him said:
'The people of Yemen have the most tender of hearts and softest of souls; and they are the most obedient (in the worship of Allah).'
